• for each profile a separate serration grinding wheel is needed
• all our serration grinding wheels will be delivered with a water-resistant coating for dry and wet grinding. Please pay attention to the following: Please spray grinding oil regularly onto the water-resistant coating in order to avoid that the pores of the coating get soiled with glowing material. The regular usage of grinding oil will increase the durability of the coating
• the basic body is manufactured of aluminium cast

   

The standard measurements (diameter in mm x width in mm) of our serration grinding wheels are:

150 x 80, 150 x 120, 210 x 120, 250 x 120 , 300 x 80, 300 x 120.

All wheels may be delivered with any requested bore size. It is absolutely necessary to specify the bore size in case of an order.

After wear and tear of the profile of an existing serration grinding wheel you may send this wheel to our address. Then we will remove the worn coating completely. The existing slug may be newly re-coated with any requested profile, afterwards.

Wavy profiles, e. g. common on good table knives; width of waves: 1 mm, 1,5 mm, 1,75 mm, 2 mm (shown below), 2,5 mm, 3 mm. Many of these wavy profiles are available as high or flat waves, too. Special measures and shapes upon request*.

Serrated profiles, e. g. common on scissors, pizza and steak knives, serrated knives for tomatos, serrated machine knives; width of serrations: 0,25 mm, 0,33 mm (e. g. hair scissors), 0,5 mm, 0,8 mm (e. g. cloth or poultry scissors), 1 mm, 1,25 mm, 1,5 mm (shown below), 1,75 mm, 2 mm (several serrated knives), 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm ... up to 10 mm (e. g. serrated machines knives), standard angles: 60° or 80° respectively. Special measures and angles upon request*.
